Yuri Kordyk

Ukraine, Lutugino

It happened so that I came to touch typing absolutely accidentally. In 2000 my wife had to type about 100 pages of written text for obtaining some special title at school. I hardly did the task in about a month, hunting and pecking.

After that I found some version of a typing tutor SOLO and spent a year on it. My studies though were not regular; I turned to it when I was in the right mood, so to say. I had enough patience to complete a half of it. By that time my programming skills allowed me to think about my own keyboard trainer. It was the time when the Internet wonderfully came to our provincial town.

As a result, my first website urikor.narod.ru was launched. It is still available in the net and you can have a look at my first attempts of creating a keyboard trainer Klava O'Key. Actually, I was very lucky! Just when I was at the beginning of my weblife (summer 2003), I was happy to meet a real professional touch typist Eleonora Lukina, also known in the net as AvtandiLine. It all started since then. In November 2003 urikor.net was launched. With my growing net experience I had more ideas. One of such ideas became the first online typing contest in the Russian internet.

My website and I attracted regular visitors and friends. In four years I met a lot of interesting people. This spring I had another great present – I met my Moscow friends personally. I was happy to meet AvtandiLine, Nora Berezina, Mikhail Shestov, Peter Zyuzikov and Sergey Khodykin. That's how intersteno.ru started.
