Hello everybody!Just a couple of words about myself and the resently held Intersteno contest.
I was born and grew up in a small town in Perm region, entered Perm universiry, got a degree in geophysics. The work is mainly connected with oilwells and the North... Well, it turned out like this - I went to work to Yamal and stayed there.
Now I'm not on my own, I got married and have an 18-month-old daughter. Among my interests and hobbies I'd like to highlight rock music, the English language, touch-typing and drum-playing. I also like self-studying of many scientific subjects, which I got interested in at school - geography, demography, astrophysics, economics and some others.
It was the first time I had participated in a contest of such an importance and to my mind I wasn't quite able to overcome being nervous, and, as a result, didn't show the result, I had intended to show. Still I am very pleased that I got involved. AvtandiLine and Yuri Kozlow didn't disappoint us, Michael Znamensky made a good debut. My regards to everybody!
In general, I haven't been touch-typing as long as I wish I had been - about 1.5 years. Frankly speaking, it's all very exciting and takes lots of time. In fact, once you have got into it, you long to find out your speed limit and I'll find it out, I suppose.
I'm going to participate in the multilingual Internet competitions next year.
